New ProNote features and enrichment of Central
Our Central team has not been sitting still. Many conversations with customers, testing and development have led to a new release of the Central operating system and enrichment of your touchscreen. Central 4.2.1 further expands the capabilities of our ProNote whiteboard application and makes it even more enjoyable to work with while teaching and presenting. The greatly improved settings in the settings menu allow the administrator and the user to get more out of the interactive whiteboard. Hereby we highlight several new features.
Compare and view energy costs
The three power modes in Prowise Central can be controlled remotely via Prowise Screen Control. This means that you can push Energy Save mode remotely on all screens in a school or foundation. This can save schools thousands of euros a year. You can now visually see the power consumption by mode in the advanced settings. In this blog we have collected useful tips about saving energy with your Prowise touchscreens.
Multi-language keyboard
The keyboard has been improved for our international users. Based on the chosen language setting in the setup wizard and in the advanced settings, the keyboard layout adjusts automatically. No extra handling is required and you can quickly adjust your qwerty, qzerty, azerty keyboards and other language settings with one setting.
Streaming control
You can choose between Airplay, Chromecast, Miracast or Prowise Reflect, we adapt to all types of streaming protocols. You already had the choice of turning them on or off individually. If you now choose to turn them all off, a 'lock' icon will become visible. At a glance, you can see whether streaming is possible or not. Whether controlled centrally via Screen Control or per board, the user can determine the options.
ProNote
After intensive user testing, adjustments were made, among other things, to the way ProNote can be started up and closed. In addition, the frequently-used screenshot option has now been extended to include a crop mode. This is useful for when you only want to use part of the screenshot. We are expanding the choice in backgrounds for international markets and you are in control of the colour picker.
